Meet Ken Brewe | Family Law Expertise at Brewe Layman

Relax — you know, we’ve got you covered here. We’ve done this before. We’ve been down the road plenty of times in terms of the family law practice that we focus on, and I think that’s something clients need to know. Clients come in awfully stressed on a lot of occasions, and I think they need to understand that we’ve been there, we’ve done it, and we can take care of things.

The other thing I think we would emphasize in terms of suggestions to clients is: work with us. We’ll have a lot of interaction with you during the course of time. We’ll be asking you for information and materials. Working with us is going to help all concerned. It’s a sort of “help us help you” situation.

In terms of my personal background, I’ve been at this over 40 years. My focus has been in the family law field. Most of it has been high-end sorts of matters — high-end economic matters. So that’s where I come from.

But I think beyond that, the Brewe Layman background here is we’ve been together as a firm originating back in 1980. We’ve got a variety of attorneys and staff working for us. We’ve had experienced people over the years. Three of our attorneys are now judges. We have four of our attorneys who are involved in a national organization called the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, which is a small, rather exclusive group of attorneys throughout the United States that focuses on family matters.

So, I think we bring a lot of experience, and I’ve been here for the majority of that time.
